What does your day look like?

You start the day with an informal meeting with your team of 5 FTE. Together, you set the daily goals, with special attention to the development of our new Panel Welding Line. In this process, you identify the critical milestones for the project together. Subsequently, you draw up a detailed plan, including the required mechanical hours and procurement budgets, which you then submit for approval to the project manager.

After that, you take a walk through the assembly hall to assess the progress of the mechanical assembly. At the assembly department, you check whether the transferred information and produced parts meet all requirements. An important aspect of your role is ensuring seamless collaboration between the involved disciplines and translating technical customer specifications into practical solutions, executed according to our mechanical architecture.

In the afternoon, you check the progress of your own team and ensure that the projects are on schedule. While your team members work on the hardware design specifications and detailed drawings for a new project, they also deal with transportation plans and customer documentation of an ongoing project. Meanwhile, you conduct risk assessments. You ensure that both the quality standards of your team's mechanical designs and those of external parties are met. You monitor the department's schedule and ensure efficient task distribution and workflow, including logistical processes such as orders and deliveries. Later in the afternoon, you actively contribute to the drawings, calculations, and development of concepts and make a few final adjustments to as-built drawings.

At the end of the day, you take time to evaluate progress and plan ahead. You report to the COO on project progress and other relevant matters. It's a moment to be proud of what your team has achieved today and to look forward to tomorrow's challenges.
