What does your day look like

You've just taken your first sip of coffee when the Process Engineer approaches you and asks for help. It's about an important project where the welding quality needs to be improved. You know better than anyone else how to tackle this. You walk to the lab together and start the welding robot. The buzzing sound of the machine fills the room while you check the parameters of the welding process and identify opportunities for improvement. After a few hours of welding, however, the welding quality has not improved. You take the time to thoroughly inspect everything and see that there is a small disturbance in the supply of the welding wire. By fixing this, the welding quality improves significantly and the problem is solved!

As a Welding Engineer, you work to improve not only the welding, but also the cutting and milling processes. You are constantly looking for ways to make the robots work faster and more efficiently, so that productivity is increased. In addition, you can also be found on-site with customers around the world, where you provide training and perform optimizations.

After lunch, you sit with your colleagues from R&D to brainstorm about the possibilities of laser hybrid welding for future projects and how this technology can be implemented at KRANENDONK. As an expert in welding, you always stay up to date with the latest developments and continuously look for ways to apply them within the organization. At the end of the day, you give a training to colleagues about the different welding processes, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them with their work. As you look back on the day, you realize that time has flown by.
