Sales Engineer

What does your day look like?

Your morning begins with a review of the latest project proposals and new customer inquiries and requirements. You’ll collaborate with the Area Sales Managers, dissecting customer requirements and aligning them with our technical offerings and our capabilities. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial as you make the workings, constraints, and possibilities of conceptual production systems transparent for everyone involved.

Post-lunch, your focus shifts from translating customer requirements to consulting our technical departments and finally preparing layout concepts. This includes assessing feasibility, reviewing technical specifications, and performing pre-calculations to ensure our developed concepts align with our strengths and capabilities.

Clear communication and collaboration are key in your role, and your afternoons are often spent in meetings with Area Sales Managers, poring over client feedback and adjusting technical proposals to ensure alignment with both customer expectations and our company's capabilities.

What are you bringing?

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate and overcome project challenges efficiently
  • Experienced in working with MS office related software (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Willing to develop skills in 3D layout design, particularly with SketchUp
  • Understanding of how technical decisions impact costs and the ability to create profitable project proposals
  • A customer-oriented approach to understand and meet client needs effectively
  • Good command of both Dutch and English
