Since the beginning of this year, the whole world is in the grip of the Covid-19 epidemic. Of course, this has also influenced KRANENDONK and our employees. Several measures have been implemented to prevent further spread of the virus. The majority of our staff are working from their home office since the beginning of March. But what does this actually mean for KRANENDONK as a company? What impact does the virus have on our business operations? We have asked our departments and our staff how they are doing in these unusual times. How do they cope with the situation and how does it influence their daily work?

The travel ban prevents our sales staff from physically visiting our customers and discussing and presenting projects face-to-face. Some of the bigger projects were postponed while awaiting developments in travel restrictions. However, we have noticed an increase in the number of requests for quotations. It seems like our customers, because of limited production, can now take the time to think about automation and investments for the future.

The KRANENDONK Academy keeps educating staff and customers at a distance. For the first time, we have conducted a full 6-day RinasWeld training online.

 Research & Development

Because of the travel ban, we are not able to work on most projects in the Netherlands and abroad. This has given us the opportunity to focus on research projects. With the feedback and wishes from our customers, we have created a list of very interesting developments that we will focus on in the next coming months with a multidisciplinary team. This will lead to new and improved solutions, which will make our product portfolio even better.

 Human Resource

 Collective responsibility

And what about one of the main pillars of KRANENDONK, the social connection between over 70 colleagues? We are proud to see that this continues as usual. Our colleagues found their way in connecting through Zoom, Whatsapp, Skype or Facetime. Our monthly social event was organized through Zoom, where everyone enjoyed a drink from their kitchen table, sofa or garden.

Stay tuned to our website and social media for further updates and information on our projects.
