Shipbuilding

Offshore construction

Offshore uses large and heavy profile types such as H-beams, channels, square and round tubes, whereas in shipbuilding usually lighter and less complex profiles are used (bulbs, flats, angle bars and T-bars). When cutting beams and channels for offshore the requirements are different from those that apply to profile cutting in for example the shipbuilding industry. In the offshore construction industry the robot profile cutting line is optimized for cutting and coping of weld edge preperations in more complex profiles. Steel construction

Kranendonk has engineered and delivered robotized, CNC- and PLC-controlled, one-off, production systems for the industry since 1989. With this experience we have developed production solutions for the steel construction suitable for cutting and coping of H-beams and profiles, welding stiffeners, foot and end plates into H-beams and welding of built-up beams for bridge construction. These production systems are a must for every company active in the field of Steel Construction, which is seeking for opportunities to improve their efficiency and throughput.
