Subarc welding with robots

The world's first SAW tool for robots
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is a welding process which is used in heavy construction situations. The benefit of this welding process is the thick welds which can be made with a relatively high speed. KRANENDONK is the first to supply a robotic SAW tool with integrated flux recovery and track sensor. Combining the SAW welding process with the flexibility of a robot gives enormous freedom in heavy steel welding.
Operator influence
With a remote control the operator can, if needed, directly influence the welding process. In this way small adjustments can be made during the welding process. It give the operator the ability to put its welding knowledge into the system, and to really cooperate with the robot system.
