Beam Assembly - Press release

KRANENDONK and ASK Romein develop revolutionary assembly line for construction industry

Press Release - November 10, 2011

In January, 2012, KRANENDONK will introduce a revolutionary production system: a beam profile assembly line. The system has been developed in cooperation with the Dutch steel construction company ASK Romein. The assembly line will automatically place and weld attachment and stiffeners in and to beam profiles; at the moment a labour intensive process. With the new machine, KRANENDONK shows that large innovation steps are possible for construction companies, to stay competitive in a changing world.

With the assembly line, ASK Romein will not only save time during production, but also during work preparation. This is made possible by KRANENDONK’s RinasWeld software, which generates all required production data directly based on the 3D CAD model of the end product. As a result the production line is easy to operate, for work preparation as well as the operator at the shop floor.
